Blocks to Change - Kissing the Black Dog

Nov 11, 2015 at 17:19

Depression, anxiety and the other multiple symptoms of stress can lead to unhappiness, broken lives and death. The results of living in a perpetual state of negativity is mind numbing and the greatest scrounge of our time.

There is a myriad of reasons for the dilemma some people find themselves in. A queue a mile long of reasons and people to blame. Beyond the blurry mistruth that easily becomes the day to day reality for some is a light, an opening. For so many the patterning they have chosen to perpetuate blinds them, they are too busy rehashing the past, blaming mom and dad, their siblings, the teachers or other students, God, the state. Always the power goes to an outside source, the hidden perforator who controls every part of our lives When stuck inside this dark trap their is nothing but the same old, same old.

This world of demons and devils has no class distinction, once the vapours of it's pain fill our lungs we begin the slow painful walk through the shadows of hell. On that deadly stroll we never look up, our vision is focussed metres ahead, we watch each step as we move closer to the final hooray.

Suffering is addictive, it becomes the well worn path we know and recognise, anyone who suggests to look up, see the sun, look further ahead becomes an enemy, someone who must be silenced, lest the game is up. Our self induced hell is the choice we have made, sometimes because no one ever suggested another way. So many are so scared they cling to what they know, change is too terrifying. The prison that envelopes them is built with their own hands, thoughts and emotions. Each brick carefully placed to deflect the unresolved pain and suffering, sometimes echoing from the distance past.

Once in the corridors of our gaol, there is no reprieve, no letting up, the fight to cope with the pain, becomes the pain. One upon the other the pain becomes the truth, the lie becomes the reality. At some point truth becomes fiction and fiction, truth and the fight to maintain the lie erodes our souls, the core of our imagination, our goodness, our self worth.

For some the battle was lost long ago, all resistance has been shredded, now it is about managing the pain so we suffer enough to continue living, yet dead. Suicide is sometimes the solution, it least the pain will end. Or will it? Is there an even greater hell awaiting those who walk forward one step at a time, eyes fixed to the ground? To even think of looking up, doing something different is too immense. It is easier to turn to the pain relief of drugs, sex, self harm than lift one's eyes and watch the sun rise or the moon set. it is 'Just to Hard" to stretch our minds and look into the faces of those who may wish to help, but are pushed away.

Depression, anxiety and most stresses will change when we accept our unwillingness to change, our unwillingness to learn and begin to live differently.

Doing the same thing the same way everyday is the definition of insanity.

There is a belief that life is an illusion, for those living in stress that is their reality. What is unreal is the illusion, reality is traded for that illusion.

Unwillingness to change is the same as being pig headed or stubborn, we would rather fight the good than accept something is wrong and we have the power to change it. We are all living a lie, a huge illusion that we are less than we really are. Humanity is highly creative, with our own thoughts and actions we create heaven or hell on earth. Right now we are doing a really good job of turning Mother Earth into a living hell, simply because we are afraid to stand up, find our voice, cast off the deceptions that have plagued humanity and step forward as keepers of the light.

Humans are made of light, we were born to shine. Nothing great will come from squabbling over scraps of worthless paper. Like Jonathon Livingstone seagull, it is time my friends to fly free of the mob and find our own wings.

To paraphrase the wisdom of our youth "Build a Bridge and Get Over It".

Un-sympathic, absolutely, there is no room in a kind heart for sympathy, it is too full of empathy.

The only way out of hell is through the front door. To find it, look for your own unwillingness to change and unwillingness to learn. Be prepared to do something different.

You are more than you can ever imagine, greater than the greatest leader, brighter than the brightest star. That is the dream that is to be lived. Give away your unneeded negativity and stop playing small. Leave that to others, you are too important and right now the earth and the stars are waiting for you to join the kaleidoscope of colour that enriches this world and our part of the universe.

Find the courage that dwells in your heart and open your eyes to the potential that awaits you.
It was a simple error that lead us all down the wrong path - We have all forgotten who we really are!
