More about Water

It is simply a case most people do not consider they are dehydrated or they think they do not need to drink water. Most mistake other beverages as water and are shocked when they discover the truth. We loose water through ordinary bodily functions and carrying a fashionable water bottle does not constituent drinking enough water on a daily basis.

Some of the issues of dehydration:

Fatigue, Energy Loss: Dehydration of the tissues causes enzymatic activity to slow down.

Premature Aging: The body of a newborn child is composed of 80 percent liquid, and drops as we age if we do not continue to drink and absorb healthy water.

Excess Weight and Obesity: We may overeat because we crave foods rich in water. Thirst is often confused with hunger. This is true, most people are more aware of being hungry than thirsty. The thirst mechanism is faultily in many people.

High and Low Blood Pressure: The body?s blood volume is not enough to completely fill the entire set of arteries, veins, and capillaries. When we are dehydrated the blood becomes thicker and harder to move around the body. When we are hydrated the blood is at the right thickness.

Cholesterol: When dehydration causes too much liquid to be drained from inside the cells, the body tries to stop this loss by producing more cholesterol.

Constipation: When chewed food enters the colon, it contains too much liquid to allow stools to form properly, and the wall of the colon reduces it. In chronic dehydration, the colon takes too much water to give to other parts of the body. The large intestine is the last place in the body where ist is able to absorb water if we are dehydrated.

Digestive Disorders: In chronic dehydration, the secretion of digestive juices is less. The bowels also become inflamed. Gastritis, Stomach Ulcers. To protect its mucous membranes from being destroyed by the acidic digestive fluid the stomach secretes a layer of mucus.

Respiratory Issues: The mucous membranes of the respiratory region are slightly moist to protect the respiratory tract from substances that might be present in inhaled air.

Acid-Alkaline Imbalance: Dehydration activates an enzymatic slowdown producing acidification. Drinking alkalising mineral rich rich water is always the best option. Ionisation is another of the key health issues we all need to be aware of.

Eczema and Skin Conditions: Your body needs enough moisture to sweat 20 to 24 ounces of water, the amount necessary to dilute toxins so they do not irritate the skin. The skin releases the toxic overload and we need enough water to carry the toxins out of the system.

Cystitis, Urinary Infections: If toxins contained in urine are insufficiently diluted, they attack the urinary mucous membranes. When we are dehydrated the urine becomes more heavily ladened with toxins.

Rheumatism: Dehydration abnormally increases the concentration of toxins in the blood and cellular fluids, and the pains increase in proportion to the concentration of the toxins. When dehydrated we simply do not have enough water to carry the toxins away safely.

Learning and Behavioural Problems: A small reduction of water in our system affects the brain, which in turn increases our stress levels making it harder to make balanced decisions. Toxins will also begin to build in the brain.

Hydration is a topic covered in my book Kissing the Black Dog. It is one of the key health issues that most be addressed, no matter what illness we are working with. Hydration, ionisation and oxygenation under pin our health. All three may be corrected with Motivational Kinesiology
