Pain and pH Levels

Pain may have more to do with our chemical/electrical balance than we realise. The term pH refers to Potenial Hydogen, which is the concentration of hydrogen ions in a substance oe solution. It is also a measure of voltage in the body.


Voltage is synonymous with pH. In fact, a voltmeter can be used to measure pH. The voltmeter has a range of from -400 millivolts (mv) to +400 mv, with -400 mv being equal to 0 on the pH scale (which ranges from 0 to 14). A pH of between 0 and 6.9 is considered acid. A pH of 7.0 is neutral. A pH between 7.1 and 14 in considered alkaline, with a pH of 14 equal to +400 mv. Cells are designed to operate at -22 mv, which is the equivalent of a pH of 7.35
Thus, ideally, our bodies should be slightly alkaline. A less than optimal pH will lead to cellular aging and the possible development of cancer, pain, inability to heal properly, infections, and general ill health.

The pH range is 0-14. Human blood ph is ideally 7.35. The higher the number the more alkaline, the lower the more acid.


Extended periods of acidity in the body create the following symptoms:

The longer this occurs. weakened systems begin to malfunction. When the body becomes to acidic, oxygen levels drop and cells begin to die. Acidity also blocks vitamin absorption, cells clog with toxic buildup, organ function slows, digestion is impacted, we suffer excess gas and bloating. Weight gain is common and the body ages faster.


Effects on Muscles. 

Muscles constrict and nutrient and waste product exchange is limited leading to:

An acidic pH imbalance can effect cellular activity and may contribute to a wide range of illnesses and degenerative conditions. With a ph below 7.0 the body ages faster as natural acid salts build up in the cell walls, causing them to stiffen and dehydrate. In a balanced pH body, illness or unhealthy conditions find it hard to to gain a hold. The immune system responds best in n alkaline environment.


Alkaline water and a healthy pH balanced diet can go a long way to reducing pain and discomfort and limit illness taking hold of the body. ,
